Associate PLEDGE from AT&T enables your organization to take control of the distracted driving situation by controlling the device itself.
The Lock Screen
When travelling above the threshold speed and threshold time, based on your company’s distracted driving policy, your smart phone will go into lock mode and the following screen will appear. While the smart phone is locked, you may send or receive phone calls through the use of your Bluetooth headset or in car sync.
The Unlock Screen
If a driver is allowed to break corporate driving policy by unlocking the device, then, depending on the type of device (i.e. Blackberry, iOS, or Android) the interface will allow them to release the device to the home screen. This, however, will be reported to the management console.
Passenger or Emergency Use
Should the driver be a passenger in the moving vehicle and/or need to make an emergency call without Bluetooth, select the Emergency/I am not driving button/Man Down. All activity with using this option will be reported to the management console with the notation of “(Emergency).”
On Screen Policy Statement
After driver commits a violation while above threshold speed a short policy statement will appear on their screen after they have reduced their speed below threshold. They will have a choice to either “Accept” or “Decline” the policy. This action will be reported to the management console. If the driver commits several violations, then as many policies will appear on their screen and will persist until the Accept or Decline button is pressed.
